Our History
In early 2024, the idea between the platform was formed. By the spring, the team was working on the project, and by the beginning of 2025, our platform was ready for development and to be in the hands of our customers.
Dawson has a background as a Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer for developing AI models and web applications for government contracts. Before founding ThoughtTree, he was working in the Data Science team for the Defense Department’s Special Operations Command based out of Hawaii.
He graduated University of Wisconsin–Madison with a degree in Computer Science and a focus in Military Leadership which led him into the Defense industry. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles where he worked on developing Automated-Target-Recognition models for electro-optical and synthetic aperture radar geo-spatial imagery from satellites.
When he is not behind the computer, he is outdoors either climbing the peak he wants to tag, finding himself in the local waterways trying to catch his next monster fish, or attending local food events where he is trying to find his next exotic dish to try.
“I’ve seen those close to me struggle with the lack of reliable standardization of care. Someone can see multiple providers and receive varying opinions and diagnoses on the same symptoms. I set out to provide a platform that can alleviate this issue well producing key insights that would be missed.
I founded ThoughtTree after conversations with professionals in the industry and realized there is a gap of leveraging today’s AI-driven data analytics to be the one-stop-shop for today’s mental healthcare providers, and help left the burden of ever-growing workloads without sacrificing quality.”
Nicholas Jasinski is a dedicated Software Engineer with a strong foundation in machine learning, full-stack development, and data analytics. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), where he honed his skills through both academic and professional experiences.
Nicholas has worked on a range of projects, from developing web applications to deploying machine learning models, and has contributed to technical support roles where he assisted peers in solving complex problems. With a broad technical background and a passion for continuous learning, Nicholas is always exploring new tools, languages, and methodologies to enhance his development process.
Outside of work, he enjoys taking on new challenges, whether in the digital world or the great outdoors, and is always looking for opportunities to grow and innovate.
Archie Shahidullah is a machine learning engineer with a background in applied mathematics and data science. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in Information and Data Sciences at the California Institute of Technology. There, he placed well in multiple data science hackathons and taught a class introducing students to deep learning with TensorFlow.
Archie has worked on designing and refining machine learning models in the industry and has contributed to multiple successful research proposals – both in the proposal writing stage and model development. Archie applies his robust understanding of the fundamentals of machine learning with his strong programming ability to craft intelligent and performant solutions to problems in unpredictable and non-ideal spaces.
Beyond his career, Archie enjoys playing the guitar (acoustic and electric), exploring California’s varied landscapes and cuisines, and diving deep into history.
